History
August 1903 Newspaper reports that the Poyang left Shanghai for Hankow Thursday 13th August 1903. On route the captain, chief mate, chief engineer and Chinese pilot all died from Cholera. The third engineer and a supernumerary officer were taken to hospital suffering from the same disease.
Service
Built for the Yangtse river service. Employed with the sister ships Tatung I and Ngankin on the bi-weekly Shanghai to Hankow service. Refer to Tatung I
