History
1943. Built as the "Telemachus" (IV) for Ocean S.S.Co., Alfred Holt & Co. as managers. This vessel was a slightly smaller replacement for the "Telemachus" (III), which was requisitioned by the Admiralty and converted into the aircraft carrier "HMS Activity".
The image shows a typical cylinder section of an early Kincaid-Harland & Wolff, Main Propulsion engine.
1957. Transferred to the Glen Line, renamed "Monmouthshire".
1963. Reverted to Ocean S.S.Co., renamed "Glaucus" (IV).
January 1st. 1964. Bareboat demise charter to CNCo., renamed "Nanchang III".
April 1st. 1968. Arrived in Hong Kong at the end of the charter and delivered to Leung Yau for breaking up.
