Biography

February 1st. 1892. Joined CNCo., in possession of his Masters Certificate of Competency No. 015284 issued in London. Employed on numerous vessels as required, in positions up and including Chief officer.

November 1892. Promoted to Chief Officer.

October 4th. 1895. Promoted to Master and sailed on numerous vessels as required.

June 22nd. 1921 to March 29th. 1922 On Home Leave.

November 20th. 1899. Refer to Hupeh ( TSR ) for the report of the enquiry into the loss of the vessel. Master found to be not at fault.

January 21st 1925. Appointed Master of the new ship Anhui II being built by Taikoo Dockyard.

May 26th. 1930. Proceeded on Home leave. Possibly followed by retirement, as he was now 68 years old, having served 38 years with CNCo., having been Master for 35 years.
