History
Sept.1922. Delivered to China Navigation Co. The first of a class of four ships, the other three being:- "Nanchang II", "Nanning II", and "Ninghai I"
1942. Commisioned by the R.A.N. as "H.M.A.S. Newchwang F-30" and employed in Australian waters.
1944/5 She carried military stores etc. to Calcutta - no pennant number, but flying the Blue Ensign. Observed by D Haws when he was there at that time.
1946. Decommissioned and returned to C.N.Co.
April 18th.1950. Arrived in Hong Kong. Sold to Wing Tak, Kowloon, for scrapping on June 26th.1950
