The Template:Convert/shtn, invoked by unit-code "shtn", is used for converting short tons with other units. It will display the unit symbol "sh tn" in abbreviated mode (such as for "abbr=on"); however, the full unit name "short ton" is preferred for the first 1 or 2 cases in an article, as displayed when using upper-case unit-code "ST" which always shows "short ton" in measurement conversions.
