History
1923. Built for the Szechuan Steam Navigation Co.
Service
The "Shutung" and the "Shutung Flat" operated together. The "Shutung Flat" being the attendant houseboat, used as a residence, being towed on the Tungting Lake as required for the shipping agent.
1920. Bought by Mackenzie & Co. of Shanghai.
1923. Bought by CNCo. when they took over the Chungking interests of Mackenzie & C0.
1928. Sold by CNCo.
1937. The "Shutung" became wrecked in the Hsin Tan Rapids on the Upper Yangtse river gorges.
