I think there is an error in the List of Commodores.

I am sure that Frank Cunningham was Commodore, between Mike Parker and Robbie Kidd. I was in Hong Kong office at the time.

Frank did not like being Commodore because as Commodore he was required to be on "a Hong Kong calling ship" and so he was appointed to the CHENGTU, and he definitely flew his broad pennant in her. He much preferred bulk carriers, and did not like having command of a small boxboat. On retirement he joined Safmarine and was appointed to the "SA VAAL" - a much bigger boxboat!
